Mahindra KUV 100 Xplorer Edition could be launched as accessory Kit.
Mahindra & Mahindra showcased the KUV 100 Xplorer Edition in the Indian market. The KUV 100 Xplorer Edition is a heavily accessorized version of the standard KUV 100 to make the KUV look more rugged and help to further associate with SUV image of the company.
The KUV 100 Xplorer Edition comes with the following list of additions
- Rugged bumper add-ons
- Imposing wheel arches
- Bonnet scoop
- Side skirts
- Tail lamp protectors
- Silver Roof rails
- Door side mouldings
- Rear spoiler with LED
The front looks dominating thanks to the silver body cladding on the front and rear which gives the KUV a bigger appearance, cladding on side and rear adds to the rugged look. The heavy chrome treatment will be liked by many considering Indian buyers love towards chrome.
The roof sports glossy black treatment, the bonnet receives faux air intakes, black plastic cladding around the taillights, rear windshield and rear roof spoiler which gets integrated LED brake taillight.
The KUV 100 was launched in January 2016 and has got very good response. The KUV 100 is available in 7 variants – K2, K2+, K4, K4+, K6, K6+ and the top-spec K8.
Engine options include 1.2 petrol engine which does 82 Bhp@5500 rpm max power and 114Nm @3500-3600 max torque while the diesel engine produces 77Bhp @3750rpm and 190Nm @1750-2250 rpm.
The KUV 100 features a front bench seat (a first in the segment), multifunction steering wheel with audio controls, integrated 2 DIN music system, three rotary controls for the HVAC. Mahindra will provide a lap belt for the front center passenger seat, which could be used by children.
In terms of safety the KUV 100 gets ABS and EBD as standard across all variant and Airbags as optional on the base variants.
