German luxury car maker, Volkswagen will launch the Jetta with more features. Our friends at IAB have posted a few details of the refreshed Jetta.
The MY 2014 Jetta will get subtle changes on the outside and will be limited to new headlight cluster with Xenon projector lamp with Headlight washer and LED daytime running lights in an L pattern similar to that offered on the Passat. This feature will be offered on the Highline while the Comfortline and Trendline will get the current set of headlamps.
The Comfortline and Trendline variants will receive a set of new Sedona alloy wheels. On the inside Automatic climate control will now be standard right from the base variant.
VW will continue to offer the Jetta in two engine options: 1.4 TSI petrol and 2.0 TDI diesel engines. The petrol mill develops 122 PS and 200 Nm of torque and delivers a mileage of 14.69 km/l. The diesel burner develops 140 PS and 320 Nm of torque. Transmission options include
Skoda is offering 4 engine options on the new Octavia which is directly competes with the Jetta and is also packed with a lot more features making the car a better option. With new features, VW hopes the Jetta will attract customers and revive sales.
VW launched the Jetta in 2011 with a diesel engine option only. In 2012 the company added the frugal and powerful 1.4 TSI motor.
