Platina Comfortec to help reduce back pain with new rear suspension.
Bajaj has introduced a new variant of the Platina commuter motorcycle which is designed with a new suspension system to offer lower jerks.
Christened as Platina Comfortec, the motorcycle offers 20% less jerks which comes with a unique technology which features 28% longer shock absorber travel, spring soft seat, rubber footpads and extra-long double spring rear suspension.
The Platina ComforTec is available in two variants: Platina ComforTec 100 Alloy KS & ES priced at Rs. 43,241 & 45,252 (ex-showroom Delhi).
Powering the motorcycle is a 102cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, 4-stroke, DTS-i petrol engine producing 8.2 PS of power @ 7,500 RPM and 8.6 Nm of torque @ 5,000 RPM mated to a 4-speed gearbox. The Platina delivers 104 kmpl of mileage making it one of the most fuel efficient bikes in its segment.
The Platina ComforTec is available in 3 colours – Red, black & blue. Bajaj also claims the motorcycle has 65% less maintenance, a 5000 km service interval and 10,000 km oil change interval.
Bajaj Platina along with CT100 has managed to help the Indian two wheeler major register good sales numbers in the 100cc commuter segment. The company hopes to strengthen its position by launching new variants in this space.
