Mercedes-Benz GLE now available in petrol – GLE 400 4MATIC.
Mercedes–Benz has launched a new petrol engine that will power the GLE luxury SUV. The GLE 400 4MATIC is priced at Rs. 74.90 lakhs (Ex-showroom, New Delhi).
The GLE Petrol is the 7th car to be launched in the Indian market and will be initially brought via the CBU route, while CKD could begin later if there is substantial demand. Customers now get more choice between petrol and diesel variants for the most popular SUV from MB’s product range.
The GLE 400 4MATIC is powered by a V6 Petrol engine that churns out 245 kW (333 hp) and 480Nm of torque, available as low as 1600 rpm, Motorized by a 7G Tronic Plus transmission, this ensures rapid gear shifts, in turn enhancing the driving performance. Five driving modes of Comfort, Sport, Slippery, and Individual and off – road enable enthusiasts to make the best of every ground.

The DYNAMIC SELECT offers five modes – Comfort, Sport, Slippery, Individual and Off-road to enable enthusiasts to make the best of every ground.
Advanced safety and assistance systems on board the GLE which is one of the safest vehicles in the luxury SUV segment include numerous assistance systems have been coordinated in terms of function and packaged under the Intelligent Drive.
The extensive safety equipment of the GLE is extended with assistance systems such as Crosswind Assist, Attention Assist, Active Parking Assist and Brake Assist. The GLE is equipped with 6 airbags for driver and passenger protection, i.e., adaptive front airbags, side bags for driver and front passenger and also window air bags between A, B and C-pillars.
The GLE range in India includes the GLE 250 d, GLE 350 d, GLE 400 and the dynamic GLE 450 AMG Coupe.
