SKODA KODIAQ SUV teased on SKODA India website.
Skoda Auto India has listed the upcoming Kodiaq SUV on the official Indian website, under the ‘En Route’ caption.
The KODIAQ SUV is expected to be launched in India around the month of September 2017 and has started accepting enquiries from customers. The website has a form offering customers an option to submit their details to receive all recent updates about the SUV.
There are rumours of launch around June-July month.
The KODIAQ SUV is the first SUV from the Skoda brand with 7 seats options and is positioned above the Yeti. (Also read SKODA KAROQ to replace Yeti)
Based on the Vision S concept that was first showcased at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show the KODIAQ will share many components with the upcoming Tiguan SUV.
The SUV once launched will become Skoda’s new flagship model in India, as it will be placed above the Superb sedan, which is the current flagship. The SUV has been spotted testing in India without any camouflage many times.
Built on the MQB platform, the SUV is avaialble with three engine options: 1.4 TSI, 2.0 TSI and 2.0 TDI. India will most likely to get 2.0TDI and 2.0TSI.
Once launched tin India he SKODA KODIAQ will compete against the likes of the Toyota Fortuner, Ford Endeavour, Hyundai Santa Fe and the upcoming Isuzu MU-X and Volkswagen Tiguan.
