Toyota will soon be introducing the refreshed Etios series in India. The Etios & Etios Liva has been receiving constant updates since its launch in 2010. Now in its fourth year, the Etios series will get its 4th upgrade which is mainly cosmetic.
The MY2014 Etios series will get a new chrome grille and minor tweaks to the exterior. The interior change are limited to new upholstery colour, a new 2 Din music system and few more additional features.
There are no changes to the engine and the Etios will offered with the same 1.5 petrol and 1.4 diesel engine, while the Liva will be offered with the 1.2 petrol and 1.4 diesel engines.
The Toyota Etios platform has sold decent in numbers, about 2.3 lakhs in total. But the company wants a higher marker share and the constant changes are also in sync with Toyota’s Kaizen policy which means continuous improvement.
With the new changes the Etios series price may be slightly increased and also the car will be re-positioned to complete with higher priced cars in its segments. The launch of the cars is expected to be in October and we could expect the announcement very soon.
