Japanese two wheeler maker Yamaha Motor India introduced a new version of the Cygnus Alpha scooter. The Cygnus Alpha is now equipped with a disc brake option comes at a price of Rs. 52,556 (ex-showroom Delhi).
The disc brake variant of Cygnus Alpha scooter is introduced in two new colors – Radiant Cyan and Marvel Black. The drum brake variant of the Cygnus Alpha is also available in the market for customers.
There are no mechanical changes to the Cygnus Alpha scooter disc brake variant apart from a disc brake and is powered by air-cooled 113 cc, four stroke single cylinder engine that delivers smooth start-up acceleration and pickup enabled with the Blue Core Technology.
The scooter delivers a decent mileage of 66 km/l. Cygnus Alpha has a max power of 7.1PS @ 7,500 rpm and max torque of 8.1 Nm @ 5,000 rpm. The engine is mated to a CVT transmission.
The Cygnus Alpha features telescopic suspension at front, long seat, 21 litres waterproof storage area under the seat that can hold most full-face helmets, 250 mm wide & flat footboard, easy grab handle and convenient hooks.
The scooter provides ample storage capacity (21 litres) and excellent riding comfort for single & tandem riding with a flat long seat and large foot space for both rider and pillion, making it a new age stylish family scooter. *Under standard test conditions
The Cygnus Alpha disc brake variant will be available across all dealerships in India from mid-June 2016.
