Aprilia SR 150 is country’s first sporty crossover 150cc gearless bike.
Italian two wheeler maker Piaggo launched the Aprilia SR 150 in the Indian market at Rs. 65,0000 ex-showroom.
Tagged as India’s first 150cc gearless sporty crossover bike, the SR 150 is built around Aprilia brand’s philosophy, “Designed For Racers, Built For riders”,
The scooter is manufactured at Piaggio’s plant in Baramati.
The Italian two-wheeler maker also unveiled an exclusive line of Aprilia merchandise which will be available through the India Motoplexes and dealerships across India.
Lorenzo Savadori from Italy, 2015 World Champion of Superstock bike graced the occasion as Guest of Honor at the event. He competes in the Superbike World Championship with the Aprilia team.
The Aprilia SR 150 is targeted at patrons looking for the sensation of sports bikes coupled with the convenience of automatic scooters.
The SR 150 features a 150cc engine with max power of 10.4 bhp @ 6750 rpm and max torque of 11.4 Nm @ 5000 rpm. Suspension includes a hydraulic telescopic front fork and a single rear arm suspension.
The crossover scooter will be offered in two colors –matte black and matte white.
The Crossover gearless bike features integrated side indicators, double barrel headlight unit, twin pod instrument cluster, bag hook a very essential when going shopping, racer bike styling, disc brake at the front, a CVT transmission, 14” alloy wheels and under seat storage with a USB charger.
The SR 150 has received impressive response at the company’s Motoplexes, dealers and Piaggio’s e-commerce partner – PayTM, who are successfully securing the bookings.
