Aston Martin has unveiled the new Rapide S sports car in the Indian market. The Rapide S replaces the Rapide globally and comes with a new improved design and upgrades making the car more desirable. The car was unveiled at Coimbatore and is priced Rs.4.4 crore, ex-show room Mumbai.
On the front the, a new full-face aluminium grille honed as a single piece by hand creates a striking front profile and a new rear deck profile enhances aerodynamics. New optional lightweight forged alloy wheels are unique to Rapide S which 11% lighter than the standard wheel. Rapide S uses more leather than any other Aston Martin in history. One can choose between two new interior styling packs, Piano Black and Carbon Fibre.
The Rapide S introduces the all-new Rapide Gen 4 AM11 engine which is the most technologically advanced, and powerful Rapide engine we’ve ever built. The car sprints of in 4.9 secs (0-100), with 620 Nm of torque and potent power of 558 PS – an increase of more than 17% over our previous model.
Aston Martin is looking to sell 10-15 units of the in the Indian market and will display the car in various cities across India. Aston Martin is also showcasing the Vantage.
