Suzuki Motorcycle made headlines when the company launched the GW250 Inazuma naked sports bike, but the steep prices of Rs. 2.98 ex-showroom Delhi disappointed many of the prospective customers.
The Inazuma received good rating both in terms of performance and comfort but the only stumbling block was the high price which prevented many of them even considering the bike. Suzuki India has finally come with a solution and slashed the prices of the bike by Rs. 1 lakh. The bike will now cost Rs. 1.98 ex-showroom Delhi.
Well for those who paid the premium will most likely be disappointed, but there is something to cheer about as the company plans to reimburse Rs. 1 lakh.
This is a great move by the Japanese two wheeler company and will certainly find more buyers. Hopefully once the company completely localizes the Inazuma, prices could be further dropped.
The Inazuma means the Lightning that strikes in a thunderstorm is powered by a 250cc parallel-twin engine which develops 25Ps of max power and the engine is mated to a 6 speed gear box. The bike now seems more competent in the 250cc class which has models like the Honda CBR 250, Hyosung GT 250R, GT 250N, Kawasaki Ninja 300 and the soon to be launched Yamaha R25.
