Chevrolet to launch updated version of Cruze sedan at upcoming 2016 Auto Expo. New Chevrolet Cruze could come to India in 2017
American car maker, Chevrolet will be launching the all new Cruze in 2017 in India and will the current Cruze yet another facelift and also equip it with more features. The 2016 Cruze will debut at the Auto Expo next month.
The Cruze facelift will sport a new front grille, new front bumpers with chrome inserts, LED day time running light below headlamps, new air dam, new fog lamps housing, revised rear bumper , new roof mounted antenna and new alloy wheels.
The interiors too will receive an update with new materials for the dashboard and seat fabric. A new 7 inch touchscreen infotainment system with AVN My link interface for connectivity is also on offer. The My link audio system comes with MP3, USB, AUX and Bluetooth connectivity with audio streaming and phone connectivity. The screen also doubles up as a display for the reverse camera.
Power for the new Cruze facelift will come from a 2.0 litre VCDI diesel engine producing 166 bhp at 360 nm of torque mated to a 6 speed manual/ automatic gearbox. The six-speed manual and automatic gearboxes will be carried forward too.
The Cruze sedan competes with the likes of the Volkswagen Jetta, Toyota Corolla Altis, Hyundai Elantra and the SKODA Octavia.
