American car maker Chevrolet introduced a refreshed version of the Beat hatchback in the Indian market. The 2016 model Beat gets minor updates refreshed interiors, added safety equipment and convenience along with 2 new color options.
The New Beat is priced between Rs 4.28 lakh and Rs 5.55 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi).
New features on the Beat include:
- Remote keyless entry with foldable key
- Driver side airbag addition to the LT variant,
- Dody-colored door handles on lower trims
- Silver interior highlights on lower trims
- Two new striking colors- Pull-me-over Red’ and ‘Satin Steel Grey
- New nomenclature for top variant as LTZ
The top LTZ variant comes with front dual air bags, anti-lock brakes (ABS) and electronic brake force distribution (EBD) providing complete safety to its occupants.
The New Beat comes with a choice of 7 exciting colors namely Pull Me over Red (new addition), Satin Steel Grey (New addition), Cocktail Green, Sandrift Grey, Switch Blade Silver, Summit White, Linen Beige and Caviar Black.
Chevrolet Beat, is one of GM India’s best-selling models and is available in Petrol, Diesel and LPG fuel options. The Beat comes with an ARAI-certified fuel economy of 25.44 km/L for the diesel engine and 17.8 km/L for the petrol engine.
The Chevrolet Beat competes with the likes of Hyundai i10 & Grand i10, Maruti Suzuki Wagon R & Celerio and upcoming Tata Motors Zica.
Chevrolet plans to launch the all new Bezt hatchback in 2017 and also plans to launch a compact sedan based on the same platform. Chevrolet will also soon launch the facelifted Cruze sedan in the Indian market.
