Chevrolet launched the new Trailblazer SUV in the Indian market, the company announced the price of the top end LTZ at Rs. INR 26.4 lakhs – ex showroom Delhi .
The American car maker has partnered with Amazon e-commerce portal where one can book the SUV. The new SUV is also available at authorized dealerships across India.
The Chevrolet Trailblazer is equipped with a 2.8 litre, four cylinder Duramax diesel engine which develops 200 PS of peak power at 3,600 rpm and 500 Nm torque at 2,000 rpm mated to a 6 speed automatic transmission. The SUV is so far the most powerful when compared to its counter parts like Fortuner and Pajero Sport. Fuel mileage is rated at 11.45 km/L (as per CMVR Rule 115).
The SUV is currently available with automatic transmission option, rear wheel drive only and offered in a single variant.
The Trailblazer is a big SUV and measure 4,878 mm I length, 1,902 mm width, 1,847 mm in height and has a 2,845 mm long wheelbase. The high ground clearance of 253 mm is comfortable to drive on every bad road in India.
Chevrolet has equipped the SUV with features such as projector headlights, LED tail lamps, leather upholstery, multifunction steering wheel, 7 inch MyLink touchscreen entertainment system with USB, CD, Bluetooth and AUX-in, automatic climate control, rear AC and electrically-adjustable driver’s seat. The MyLink system supports Siri Eyes Free for Apple iPhone owners. Power-adjustable outside mirrors and a rear vision camera along with rear park assist add to the convenience.
Interiors are dual-tone with premium dual-tone Athos Beige and Charcoal Black wraparound theme with leather bucket seats. With 32 storage compartments located throughout the interior it will ensure the cabin is very organised.
The Trailblazer is available with 7 seats spread across three rows. In case you are looking for more storage space, the third row seats has 50:50 split fold, while the second row seats fold 60:40 to leave a more than half of the cabin free for storage.
In terms of safety the Trailblazer comes with dual air bags, electronic stability control (ESC), anti-lock brakes (ABS) with electronic brake-force distribution (EBD), cornering brake control (CBC), hill start assist (HSA), hill descent control (HDC), traction control system (TCS), panic brake assist (PBA) and hydraulic brake assist (HBA).
The 2016 Chevrolet Trailblazer, imported from Thailand, will be available for bookings on Amazon.in only from October 21-25, at a reservation deposit of Rs. 25,000/-. Customers will receive their SUVs from their local Chevrolet dealership. Bookings can also be made through Chevrolet dealerships.
