FIAT India has made a comeback in the Indian auto industry in 2013, and also will make a comeback at the 2014 Auto Expo after being absent at the 2012 Auto Expo. The Italian car maker will launch new products in 2014 staring with the Linea facelift. FIAT will also unveil the Avventura Cross concept based on the Punto hatchback.
The Avventura Cross was caught testing a few days back in Pune and features new front & rear bumpers, body cladding, on all sides (front, side & rear), spare wheel on the rear with the rear door opening sideways, a new grille and headlamps to distinguish the car from the Punto and roof rails to give the car sporty looks.
Under the hood, is the tired and tested reliable 1.3 Multijet engine in the 90HP tune with variable geometry turbo (VGT). The interiors will be sporty and the Cross will be equipped similar to the Punto 90HP with Follow Me Home Headlamps, Integrated CD/MP3 & FM Player with 4 Speakers, BLUE & ME, Height Adjustable Front Seat Belts, Immobilizer with Rolling Code, Passenger Airbag DeactivationDual Stage Airbags (Front) with Early Crash Sensors, Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) with EBD, Remote Keyless Entry, Rear Window (Wiper + Washer), Rear Defogger with Timer, Automatic Climate Control and Leather Wrapped Steering Wheel and Gear Shift Knob.
FIAT India will also officially launch the Abarth brand with the launch of Abarth 500. Other models on display will be the Linea facelift, Linea Classic, Punto (facelift) and accessorized Linea & Punto.
