Hero MotoCorps launches first motorcycle designed & developed in-house.
Hero MotoCorp, the world’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer launched the new Splendor iSmart 110 – the first motorcycle to be developed completely in-house, with Hero’s own technology. The Splendor iSmart 110 was showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo and is priced at Rs. 53,300 (Ex-showroom Delhi)
The motorcycle is built on a completely new chassis and frame, and is powered by the new 110cc ‘Torque on Demand’ engine which also features Hero’s patented i3S technology.

The bike features new graphics, dual tone mirrors, fenders and cowl. The new tail light and muffle with chrome tip give the bike a sleek look from the rear. There are four color schemes – Silver & Black, Red & Black, Blue & Black and Sports Red.
The Splendor iSmart 110 features Hero’s i3S technology and is BS-IV Compliant
The motorcycle is powered by new BS-IV compliant 110cc TOD (Torque on Demand) engine which produces a maximum power output of 9.4 PS @ 7500 rpm and maximum torque of 9 Nm @ 5500 rpm.
The bike races from 0-60 km/h in 7.45 seconds only.
The Splendor iSmart 110 features Hero’s intuitive i3S (Idle-stop-start system), which helps reduce consumption in the urban stop-go traffic and increases the fuel efficiency.
The motorcycle is built on a double cradle design chassis with low centre of gravity for better stability.
In terms of features the Splendor iSmart 110 gets new profile longer seat offers for more space and unmatched comfort over long rides. Analog Digital design instrument cluster with service due indicator, first-in-class Automatic Headlamp On (AHO) gives the bike a unique character are other key features.

The motorcycle will compete with the likes of Honda Livo, TVS Star Sports, City, Suzuki Hayate and Yamaha Suloto RX.
