Honda 2 Wheelers launched a new Scooter in India to further strengthen its market position. The Activa-I a new scooter will help the company target a new set of customer’s in personal compact category according to the company.
We are now introduced to a new personal compact scooter category by Honda with the launch of this new scooter. According to the Japanese two-wheeler company the Indian scooter segment can be divided in 3 broad categories – Moto Scooter, Family Scooter and Personal Compact scooter. The third category contributes to 25% of scooter sales and with the Activa-I, Honda has marked its entry.
The Activa-I is the fourth scooter from the Honda stable and will offer the same quality & reliability as the Activa, Dio and Aviator.
Betting on the Activa brand, The Activa-I is powered by the same 110cc engine and develops 8 bhp of power and 8.74 Nm of Torque. The Honda Eco Technology helps to deliver 60 kmpl
The new scooter is targeted towards male and female buyers looking for light weight and compact for daily commute. The scooter comes with advanced features such as – Combi Brake System, tubeless tyres, maintenance free battery, viscous air filter, comfortable seating posture and maximum storage space of 18 litres.
Activa-I comes in 4 stunning colors – Beige Metallic, Pearl Sunbeam White, Alpha Red Metallic and Purple Metallic. The Activa-I is priced at Rs. 44,200 (Ex-Showroom, Delhi). It will be available for sale across India by end of June’13.
