New WR-V is the first model developed by Honda R&D in India along with Honda R&D. Japan.
Honda Cars India (HCIL introduced its much-anticipated new model, WR-V Sporty Lifestyle Vehicle in the Indian market. the new car is based on the Jazz platform but has designed to look quite different from the hatchback.
Unlike the Cross versions of competition, the WR-V is very different and comes with many features to distinguish the car from its sibling Jazz.
India is the first market to launch Honda WR-V globally
New WR-V is the first model developed by Honda R&D India along with Honda R&D, Japan. The R&D in India has specifically worked on design & engineering concept suitable for right-hand drive and India-exclusive powertrains.
The WR-V has a striking road presence with bold looks. The vehicle features exclusive day-time-running LED DRL & position lamps and the new family look front grill with solid wing face.

Key features on exterior are – Headlamp Integrated Signature LED DRLs & position lamps, Split Type Rear Combination Lamps, front Fog Lamps & LED High Mount Stop Lamp, Turn Indicator on ORVM and Chrome door handles.
To give the WR-V a bold look the company has equipped with the car with body cladding, 16 inch alloy Wheel design with gunmetal finish, Silver Finished Roof Rail Garnish and High ground clearance.
The urban sporty lifestyle vehicle also comes with First-in-segment Electric Sunroof with One-Touch Open/Close Function with Auto Reverse.
On the inside the car comes with 2 interior color themes – Urban Casual: Black and Bluish grey seat fabric and Urban Sophisticated: Black & Silver seat fabric.
Features like Multi-information Combination meter with LCD Display, Blue Backlight and silver finish, Eco Assist Ambient Rings on Combimeter, Automatic climate control and Front Centre Armrest with iPad USB plug and accessory socket.
The new WR-V is equipped with Digipad – 17.7cm Advanced Infotainment with In-built Satellite Linked Turn-by-turn Navigation, 1.5GB Internal Media Memory, Mirror Link, Voice Commands, Smartphone Voice Assistant Activation and Bluetooth.
The crossover also gets One Push Start/Stop Button, Honda Smart Key System with Keyless Remote, Cruise Control (Exclusive for Diesel version only) and Steering mounted controls.
Safety features like Dual airbags, ABS, EBD are standard in all variants while the VX grade also gets Multi-angle rear view camera with guidelines.
The car is sale only in 2 variants S & VX.
Engine options are 1.5 diesel and 1.2 petrol. There is no automatic gearbox available on the WR-V.

Honda claims the 5-speed Manual Transmission of petrol is a newly developed transmission to maximize the performance of WR-V with the 1.2L i-VTEC engine.
