Hyundai India, the second largest car maker has introduced a limited of the Elite i20 named as Elite i20 celebration edition. The Elite i20 has been one of the best-selling premium hatchback in the Indian market with average sales of more than 10, 000 units per month.
Hyundai recently added more tech to the car to make it more competitive considering the growing competition from Honda and upcoming Baleno hatchback from Maruti Suzuki.
The Elite i20 celebration edition comes with matte black treatment for the roof and A-pillar, glossy black treatment for the C-Pillar, Sporty side racing decals and a 1st Anniversary badge at the rear of the car. The Elite i20 Celebration Edition also gets chrome pedals and i20 Active sourced Alloy wheels.
There are no changes to the interiors and under the hood.
The Elite i20 celebration edition is based on the Sport variant and is available in both petrol and diesel engine option.
The Elite i20 celebration is priced at Rs. 669,166 for the 1.2L Kappa Dual VTVT while the 1.4L U2 CRDi 6-Speed Manual is available at Rs. 784,084. Prices are ex-showroom Delhi.
The Hyundai i20 Elite is powered by a 1.2 Kappa petrol and 1.4 diesel engine. The 1.2 petrol engine develops max power of and max torque of and returns a fuel efficiency of kmpl. The diesel engine develops max power of 90 Ps @ 4,000 rpm and max torque of 220 Nm.
Hyundai will face the heat from VW who has recently updated the Polo and Honda Jazz which sold more than 9000 units in the first month.
