Hyundai Motor India Ltd, the nation’s leading car manufacturer and largest passenger car exporter, registered domestic sales of 42,351 units in April 2016 exhibiting a healthy growth of 9.7%. The Creta and Elite i20 from the Hyundai stable are the preferred choice of many in the compact SUV and premium Hatch segments. The i20 Active is also a strong contender in the compact cross over category. Overall, Hyundai cars enjoy a strong patronage in India, thanks to the company’s philosophy of offering the best products at affordable prices, backed with an equally robust service network and low cost of ownership.
Commenting on the April sales Mr. Rakesh Srivastava, Sr. Vice President Sales and Marketing, Hyundai Motor India Ltd. said, “In an industry seeing challenges on Rural sales, Diesel Vehicle sales, Hyundai continued its growth momentum with volume growth of 9.7% over last year with strong performance of the three “India Car of the Year” brands Creta, Elite i20, Grand with increasing preference of customers for New Age brands supported by strong service assurance and low cost of ownership.”
