Mahindra KUV 100 Kool Utility Vehicle launch on 15th January
Mahindra KUV 100 code named S101 has been fully revealed in a video on YouTube by Gaurav Thakur who has videotaped the vehicle when being parked in the workshop. The video gives complete details of the exterior front, side and rear design and some glimpses of the interiors.
The vehicle snapped is the top end K8 variant which comes with two tone bumpers, body colored door handles & ORVMs, chrome highlights for the front foglights, chrome elements on the grille, and a rear wiper/washer. The alloy wheel design seems quite interesting and will be available on the top end variants only.
On the inside the KUV 100 features a front bench seat, multifunction steering wheel with audio controls, integrated 2 DIN music system, three rotary controls for the HVAC. Mahindra will provide a lap belt for the front center passenger seat, which could be used by children.
In terms of safety the KUV 100 gets ABS and EBD as standard across all variant and Airbags as optional on the base variants.
Power comes from lightweight engines offered in petrol and diesel option with 1.2 litre cubic capacity, built to deliver peppy and high performance. 1.2 petrol engine does 82 Bhp@5500 rpm max power and 114Nm @3500-3600 max torque while the diesel engine produces 77Bhp @3750rpm and 190Nm @1750-2250 rpm.
The KU100 is designed in-house and engineered at Mahindra’s world class research and development facility, the Mahindra Research Valley at Chennai.
