Mahindra & Mahindra will a new LCV based on a new platform on the 16th of October. The company will launch 2 versions of the new LCV and will mostly likely be a new small light commercial vehicle. Now it’s not very clear if its going to the new Genio which was spied a few days back or a new LCV based positioned above the Maxximo.
The national launch of the new LCV will happen in Mumbai.
As per our sources the company is looking to increase market share and is planning to launch an Tata Ace rival with higher payload and power.
Mahindra recently launched the Jeeto LCV in seven variants, a first by any company to offer so many combinations. The Jeeto LCV provides a payload of 0.5 to .7 tonnes with engine options of 11 HP and 16 HP.
Mahindra has been a strong player in the pick-up segment thanks to the Bolero pick-up and Maxi truck which have a huge fan following mainly used for longer distance and larger load carrying capacity.
Tata Motors has increased the Ace range by launching many new variants and cater to customers diverse needs. Recently the Mega Ace was launched pan India and is positioned a fast, small and heavy duty Ace for carrying dense load over longer distance.
Maruti Suzuki is also readying the launch of their LCV and other players like Eicher Polaris and Piaggio too are working on new models.
