Maruti Suzuki is celebrating Onam in Kerala with the launch of Alto 800 Onam special edition. The car was in Kerala on the first day of the Malayalam month ‘Chingam’. Maruti Suzuki which has a strong presence in Kerala has delivered over 3,000 cars and out of these, 1000 units were of the Alto. Kerala is an important market for Maruti Suzuki and Alto 800 is the highest selling model in the region.
The Alto 800 Onam Edition offers 15 additional features than the regular variant.
The features are – Music system with speakers, reverse parking sensors, designer seat covers, embroidered cushions, power car charger, Onam graphics and decals.
All these features will be offered at a premium of Rs. 17,350/-, about 26% cheaper than the cost of the original package, resulting in savings to the tune of Rs 4,500.
Maruti Alto 800 comes powered by a 796cc 3 cylinder engine which generates a maximum power output of 47.5 bhp at 6000 rpm with a torque output of 69 Nm coming at 3500 rpm. This engine is mated with a 5-speed manual gearbox.
This is another step taken by the India’s largest carmaker to attract buyers and further enhance its sales during this festive season in the state of Kerala.
