Maruti Suzuki will be launching the new Alto K10 on the 3rd of November and will be the second car to feature an AMT automatic transmission making it more appealing to masses. The new Alto K10 is based on the Alto 800 silhouette and will offer more equipment with modern design compared to the outgoing model.
Under the hood the new Alto K10 will be offered with a 1.0 K-Series engine tuned for higher mileage and will produce the same performance figures – 68 PS max power and 90 Nm of torque. But the fuel efficiency has drastically increased to 24.07 kmpl compared to the outgoing model which delivered 20.92 kmpl. Maruti Suzuki will offer the Alto K10 with an AMT option on the top VXI variant and will be the cheapest automatic offering India before Tata Motors introduces the Nano Automatic with F-Tronic transmission.
Maruti Suzuki will also offer the K10 with CNG option from day 1 and will be available in the following variants – LX, LXi, VXi and VXi (O).
The Alto K10 will help to further dominate the sales in the3-4 lakhs segment which consist of players like Hyundai Eon, Datsun Go and Nissa Micra Active.
