IGNIS was unveiled at an enthralling Electronic Dance and Music (EDM) concert featuring AXWELL, amongst a gathering of over 5,000 millennials. AXWELL is a globally acclaimed Swedish DJ music producer and remixer, is highly popular among youth.

The company has classified the Ignis as India’s First Premium Urban Compact vehicle for the Millennials.
According to the company the car comes with Unconventional Design such as Confident stance, Wheel Arches with Clads and Trapezoidal 5-spoke all Black Alloy Wheels. The car gets Single frame grille design with captivating front of LED Projector Headlamps and DRLs, Chrome Grille and Fog Lamps and first in class dual tone exterior.
The interiors are refreshing in this segment and features a floating layered Dash Board with dual tone black and ivory interiors. The raised tab like audio system similar to those featured in the Merc’s. Cockpit styled AC Panel with switches and EDM inspired illumination in speedometer adds to the trendiness.
The company claims a spacious cabin and boot with exterior colour matching accents in interiors. This is the second car under Rs. 10 lakhs to offer this feature, the first being the Tiago.
The touch screen Infotainment system is equipped with Android Auto, Apple Carplay and Mirror Link combined with an inbuilt voice recognition system.
IGNIS is compliant for pedestrian safety, side-impact, and offset crash regulations ahead of regulation timeline.
A first in class for this segment car – Dual airbags, ABS + EBD, Pre tensioner force limiter, seat belts and ISOFIX seat anchorage a child seat restraint system as standard.
Ignis will also be the first car from Maruti Suzuki to be equipped with Auto Gear Shift technology on both petrol and diesel engines.
The company will also personalization opportunities with unique roof wraps , colour options in ORVMs, spoilers, fog lamp garnish, interior styling and more.
The boot capacity is 265 litres boot space can be extended with 60:40 rear split.
IGNIS at NEXA will help expand the company’s presence in the premium compact segment. The Company, along with its suppliers, has invested over Rs 950 Crore towards development of IGNIS. IGNIS comes with 98.5% localization.
