Maruti Suzuki India has launched the Dzire Regal celebration edition in the Indian market. The limited edition comes soon after Honda launched its all new Amaze sedan in the Indian market.
The Dzire Regal is offered on the VXi variant and will be available in petrol engine option only. The changes are mainly cosmetic limited to minor embellishments on the exterior and interiors.
The Dzire Regal will be available with a new Blue shade, body graphics, body colored mud flaps, sliver finish grille, for lamps with silver finish housing and parking sensors.
On the inside the car is equipped with audio system with tweeters and auto volume control borrowed from the ZXi trim, faux wood inserts on the door armrests, stainless-steel door sills , beige faux leather cushions and embroidered seat covers, leather-wrapped steering wheel cover, beige floor mats and a car perfume.
The car is priced competitive at Rs 5.95 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai).
The Dzire is the third bestselling car from the Maruti Suzuki portfolio and is averaging close to 17,000 units per month just behind the Swift which is also doing similar numbers.
The limited edition will help to increase the footfalls at Maruti dealers which and another chance to convert Honda prospective buyers to buy a Dzire sedan.
The sub four metre segment will only see an increase in competition with Mahindra launching the Verito Vibe in May and Honda Amaze which has just been introduced in India.
