India’s largest car maker has introduced the refreshed Swift in the Indian market. Maruti Suzuki has been constantly updating their portfolio and it’s time for the Swift which is the second highest selling hatch back in the Indian market after the Alto.
The refreshed Swift comes with distinctive a new bumper, stylish grille with honey comb pattern, bezel fog lamps and new design alloy wheels. The interiors get minimalistic changes which include premium upholstery and sporty silver accents. The Swift continues to offer black interiors and will not receive beige interiors unlike competition.
Other premium features on the list include push start button, electric retractable ORVMs with turn indicators, 60:40 split rear seat, reverse parking sensor, intelligent speed based auto volume and Bluetooth connectivity, audio switch in steering wheel and Electromagnetic back door opener.
The Swift now offers 10 per cent improved fuel efficiency compared to the older model. The Swift Diesel has a certified fuel efficiency of 25.2* kmpl, up by 10%. The Swift Petrol comes with a 9.67 % improvement and has a certified fuel efficiency of 20.4* kmpl. The petrol engine is powered by the same 1.2 K-Series VVT engine but develops 85PS max power which is 2 PS less compared to the older model. The diesel engine specs are unchanged.
The car will be available in a choice of exterior colours : Mysterious Violet, Fire red, Granite Gray, Pearl Arctic White, Silky Silver and Glistening Grey.
