Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) has always been a giant in passenger vehicle business in India. Not only does it command a lion’s share in the new car business, but it is also the pioneer in certified used cars segment. First started in the year 2001 as True Value, this business model is up for a complete transformation right from searching the cars online, to finalizing the deal and taking delivery of the vehicle.
Maruti plans to open 150 True Value 2.0 outlets by March 2018. The new stand alone outlets will have a completely new design and format. A Red and Blue theme will adorn the outlet and it will offer a larger car display area for a variety of cars.
Customers can visit the True Value website or download the application (android & ios) to search and shortlist the cars online. All photographs, features and specifications of the cars will be available on the website. Customers can browse through the details, shortlist the cars and visit the showrooms accordingly. All True Value outlets will be digitally integrated so as to help customers to visit the relevant outlet for a test-drive.
To ensure quality and reliability, pre-owned Maruti cars will be carefully selected, refurbished and offered to customers with warranty and free services. The cars will be evaluated on 376 check points and refurbished accordingly with Maruti genuine parts. Only cars with less than 100,000 kms on the odometer and less than 7 years old will be available for sale. Similarly, cars with more than 2 ownerships, commercially used cars or cars retrofitted with gas kits will not be sold by True Value.
