Mitsubishi Motors has silently introduced a new variant of the Pajero Sport christened as Pajero Sport Select Plus. The premium SUV segment has seen some action with the launch of new Fortuner, new Isuzu MU-X, Hyundai Tucson and Volkswagen has recently introduced the Tiguan SUV.
With competition intensifying, Mitsubishi has added a new variant in the hope of adding some numbers. The new variant is avaialble in dual-tone colours only and come’s with additional 9 features over the standard variant.
New features on the Select Plus variant are:
- Blacked-out roof and pillars
- Black wheel-arches
- Black finish alloy wheels
- Black finish front grille
- Cruise control
- LED daytime running lamps (DRLs)
- High-intensity discharge (HID) headlamps (the standard Pajero Sport gets projectors with halogens)
- A chiller box
- DVD players with screen mounted in the front seat headrests
Mechanically there are no changes to the Pajero Sport Select Plus and is equipped with a 2.5-litre engine with 178 Ps of power. Torque ranges from 350 Nm for the automatic 4×2 version to 400 Nm for the manual 4×4 version.
The Pajero Sport is equipped with Auto climate control, Touchscreen with Navigation, leather seats, Dual airbags, ABS, EBD and Rear camera with display.
The Pajero Sport Select Plus has been priced at Rs. 30.53 lakh for the 4×2 automatic model and Rs. 30.95 lakh for the 4×4 manual version (ex-showroom, Mumbai).
