Toyota is all set to launch the new Fortuner SUV in the Indian market. The company had launched a teaser couple of weeks back.
The new Fortuner will be offered in both petrol and diesel engine options. Transmission options include manual and Automatic and will be available in both 4×2 and 4×4 drive trains. The diesel engine offered is the 2.8L GD four-cylinder turbodiesel engine, while the petrol variant will get the 2.7L dual VVT-i four-cylinder engine similar to the Innova Crysta.
The Fortuner will be available in the following variants – 4×2 Petrol MT, 4×2 Petrol AT, 4×2 Diesel MT, 4×2 Diesel AT, 4×4 Diesel MT, 4×4 Diesel AT.
In terms of features the Fortuner will be loaded and will come with Automatic LED Projector Headlamps, Start & Stop Button, Touchscreen Audio, 3-Dimensional Combination Meter with Large TFT MID, Premium Leather Seats, Premium Leather Seats, electrically assisted tailgate, electrically powered driver’s seat, cruise control and many more.
Safety will be provided by 7 SRS Airbags, ABS, Vehicle Stability Control, Hill Start Assist Control, Down Hill Assist Control (DAC) system and reverse camera.

Fortuner will compete with the likes of Ford Endeavour, Hyundai Santa Fe, Mitsubishi Pajero Sport and Isuzu MU-7.
