Nissan India strengthened its presence in Tamil Nadu with the inauguration of a new dealership, Jubilant Nissan, in Chennai. The newly-opened showroom is the 5th Nissan dealership in the metro city. The state of the art showroom is spread across 3500 sq. ft. and can display five cars. Jubilant Nissan will retail Nissan and Datsun brand of cars.
Nissan has been extending their presence across Indian and now has a nationwide network of 218 dealers in 165 cities. The company has a commitment to have 300 sales and service centres by the end of March 2017. In the last few months, Nissan has increased its network in the state of Tamil Nadu to 23 sales and service centers.
Speaking at the inauguration of the new dealership, Guillaume Sicard, president, Nissan India Operations said, “We are gearing up to launch our new Datsun redi-GO, which will compete in the entry level car segment of the Indian market. With redi-GO, Datsun is pioneering a new segment – ‘Urban Cross’, combining the best of a hatchback and a crossover.
With the 300 dealerships, Nissan will cover upto 90 percent of our current and prospective customers.
Nissan has also increased its focus on improving the customer’s experience when visiting dealers. The brand was ranked third in the recent 2015 J.D. Power Asia Pacific – India Sales Satisfaction Index study.
