Nissan has launched the automatic version of the Sunny CVT in the Indian market. The Sunny Automatic comes with the same X-tronic CVT technology offered on the Renault Scala Automatic.
The Nissan Sunny CVT is priced at Rs. 8.49 lakhs ex-showroom Delhi and is exactly 50,000 cheaper as compared to the Scala CVT.
The automatic option is available on the petrol version only and is currently offered on the XL mid variant. The engine remains same but there is a small increase in power by 2 PS. The Sunny CVT develops 101@5600 rpm and max torque of 134@4000 rpm.
The Sunny CVT XL variant is offered with additional features such as:
- Chrome Plated inside door handles
- Intelligent Key with Push Button Ignition
- Service Interval Reminder
- Front Fog Lamps
The above features are not present on the XL manual variant and are available on the Sunny CVT only.
Nissan Sunny has been doing good numbers as the car is preferred for its spacious interiors, loads of leg room, a big boot and loads of features. The Sunny CVT will compete with the likes of Renault Scala, VW Vento, Skoda Rapid and Ford Fiesta.
Sunny is available in two engine options 1.6 petrol and 1.5 diesel. The car also gets a new tag line: ITS NOT A CAAR. IT’S A CVT
