Renault to expand Duster range with new Duster CVT.
Renault India will be launching a new version of the Duster SUV in the Indian market, Duster Petrol CVT.
The company which introduced a diesel Easy-R AMT automatic with the launch of Duster facelift now plans to introduce an automatic gearbox with petrol engine option.
The shift in preference from diesel to petrol is one the main driving decisions for the French car maker to introduce a petrol automatic.
The Duster will continue to be powered by a 1.6-litre petrol engine and will be mated to a CVT gearbox.
Renault will most likely introduce the Duster CVT in 2 versions RxZ and RxT. Currently the Duster comes with entry RxE petrol only.
The Duster comes with features like Automatic air conditioner with heater, Integrated 7-inch touch screen with MediaNav & audio system: – MP3/AM/FM support – Navigation – Bluetooth® for audio and telephone control – USB & Aux-in – Smartphone voice recognition (iOS only) – AHA Service – 4 Speakers and Cruise control.
The Duster comes with safety features like ABS, EBD, BA, Driver and passenger side airbags, Reverse parking camera with guidelines and Remote central locking.
The Duster Petrol CVT will compete with the likes of Honda BR-V and Hyundai Creta which are available with petrol automatics.
