Renault India has introduced a more affordable entry diesel variant on the Scala.
The Scala RxE is loaded with features and comes at an aggressive price of Rs. 8,29,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The RxE diesel variant is packed with advanced safety and comfort features which is not available on entry-level variants.
The car comes with safety features likes:
- Antilock brake system
- Electronic brake force distribution,
- Brake assist
- Driver-side airbag
Other premium features include:
- Integrated music system
- Rear cooling vents and
- Anti-pinch power windows
The new Scala RxE will be available in all Renault dealerships across the nation.
The new variant will allow Renault to target a larger customer base and also offer a more affordable option for customers looking for an entry diesel car in its segment. The Scala diesel is equipped with a proven K9K diesel engine which develops 86 PS @ 3750 rpm and max torque of 200 Nm @ 2000 rpm.
Renault India is riding on the success of the Duster SUV and will soon find some competition from Nissan Terrano which the company will be launching in a couple of months.
