Hyundai India has been constantly updating their product line-up and also launching new model to increase their market share in the Indian market and retain customer interest in Hyundai products.
Barely after launching the new Verna two years back, Hyundai has added new features to make the car more appealing and to keep its position as a segment leader intact. Our correspondent, Hercules Rodrigues spotted the new Verna in Goa at the local dealership in Margoa. (Also read : 2013 Hyundai Verna with minor updates spotted, launch soon)
The 2013 Verna comes with the following upgrades:
1. Projector headlamps
2. Safety escort headlamps
3. Position lamps
4. Automatic headlight control
5. Front airbags
6. 16” diamond cut alloy wheels
7. New re-designed smart key
8. Illuminated power window switch (all 4)
The new Verna soon became the segment, overtaking the likes of Honda City and Volkswagen Vento. Skoda recently launched the Rapid with new features like projector headlamps and steering mounted controls. Volkswagen introduced the Vento 1.2TSI and the next big launch in the C2 Segment is the all new Honda City which is going to be unveiled on the 25th of November.
Hyundai seems to be track with the recent development and is leaving no stone unturned to keep its position intact. Certainly the Honda City will dent some sales of the new Verna considering the car will now also get the diesel engine option.
As per our source, Hyundai has bumped the price by Rs. 20,000.More images and details with complete pricelist coming soon.
