Tata Motors has lost ground in the last two years, but the company now plans to come back with many launches in 2014. To start with, the Indian car maker will launch the Nano Twist in January. One the cards next is the Vista, and a new variant Vista TECH will be added to the line-up.
The Vista will also see a complete reshuffle of the variants and some variants could be axed (The Vista D90 is discontinued and will be made to order).
The Vista will continue to sell alongside the Falcon 4 which will be positioned above the current Vista and will sport a new 1.2 turbo petrol engine, a first from Tata Motors. The Vista Tech will be offered in diesel engine options only and as per our sources the petrol (Safire 65) has been discontinued.
In terms of features, the Vista TECH will be loaded with all the features available on the Vista D90 minus the 90 hp diesel engine, rear spoiler & skirting.
Features like Driver Aligned Dashboard, Fully Automatic Climate Control, Follow-Me-Home Headlamps, 2 DIN Music System with 6.7″ TFT Touch Screen & DVD/CD/SD/USB/Radio/AUX, Blue 5 Tech, Audio & Phone Controls on Steering Wheel, Driver Information System with Fuel Consumption & Distance to Empty, Ambient Temperature Indicator, Multi Tripmer & Digital Clock will be offered.
The Vista TECH is more of repositioning of the Vista and will compete with the Swift, Grand i10, Micra and Figo.
