Skoda India has launched a limited edition of the Rapid sedan, Rapid Prestige following the footsteps of VW which also recently launched the Vento Style Edition.
The Rapid Prestige edition is available on the diesel engine option only. The 1.6 TDI diesel engine, develops maximum power of 77kW (105PS)@4400rpm and maximum torque of 250Nm@1500–2500rpm.
The Rapid Prestige is based on the Elegance variant and is equipped with a few additional features such as navigation, wind visors, parking sensors and floor mats. The car will also sport special Prestige badging.
The Rapid sedan has been the volumes generator for Skoda which has been doing decent numbers and offers customers a more value for money proposition. Skoda will soon be introducing the Octavia sedan in the Indian market and the company has already begun testing the car which has been caught testing in various cities of India. The Rapid Prestige limited edition priced at Rs. 9 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi). Skoda has also launched a number of various other scheme’s to make the Rapid even more attractive to own.
