Suzuki Motorcycles India has launched a special edition of the Access Scooter in association with Being Human. To cash on the festive season and to offer some resistance to the cut throat competition in the scooter segment, this is a minor move from Suzuki.
Seems like every manufacturer are following the special/limited edition path to get some excitement to the existing line-up if they are no major new models lined-up.
The Access Special Edition comes with the following features:
- Apna Way of Life logo on the side
- Beige colour Leatherite seat
- Being Human emblem at the front
- Chrome grab rail
- Chrome rear view mirrors
To us the Access special edition has borrowed a lot of ques from the Vepsa LX 125 which also offers chrome mirrors and different colour seat. Seems like Suzuki may want to compete with Vespa via this mode. There are no mechanical changes and is powered by 125cc engine.
The Access scooter has been the volume seller for Suzuki in the Indian market which has not been as aggressive as Honda. The company has been looking at ways to increase its brand and launched a few products like the Hayate motorcycle and Swish scooter.
The Special edition is priced at Rs. 53,297 ex-showroom Delhi.
