The Hexa can so some serious offroading. the pictures tell you everything.
Tata Hexa launch is around the corner and the vehicle has already put to test. Looks the dealer in Kerala can’t wait for the official launch and has gone ahead for making a test track which could be used for attracting prospective customers.
From the pics it clear the Hexa can do decent off-roading and could be a good choice if one is looking for a vehicle which offers good comfort, ride quality and can go to outdoors where roads could be challenging.
Mr Haris Karim has also published the technical specifications of the Hexa. The brochure reads the engine comes with a 2.2 VARICOR engine which puts out 156Ps@4000 and has a max torque of 400Nm@1700 rpm-2000 rpm. The max torque starts at a low rpm which means the SUV has strong capability to pull out of obstacles easily.
The transmission options include 6 speed manual and 6 speed Automatic.
The Hexa measures 4788x1903x1791 mm (LxWxH) which makes it a large SUV and has a wheelbase of 2850mm. The ground clearance of 200mm is decent for the SUV and just right for the Indian roads.
The SUV will get disc brakes on all ends and will ride on large 19’’ tyres.
The Hexa is Tata’s answer to the ever growing UV segment in India and will come in as a replacement to Tata Aria which didn’t quite make the cash registers ringing.
The Hexa will compete with the likes of Toyota Innova Crysta, Mahindra XUV500 and Hyundai Creta.
