Tata Magic Mantra currently available in limited cities.
Tata Motors has silently launched the Magic Mantra van in the Indian market. The Tata Magic Mantra is the passenger carrier variant based on the Ace Mega platform.
The new Magic is based above the Ace Magic and is mainly targeted for longer distance commute in rural and semi urban arears.
The Magic Mantra is powered 798cc, CRDi diesel engine which develops max power of 30kW (40hp) @ 3750 rpm and max torque of 100 Nm @ 1700-2000 rpm. The 800cc DiCOR engine is similar to the Ace Mega but has more Torque by 6 Nm.
The Mantra gets a 5 speed manual transmission with a single plate dry friction diaphragm type clutch. The gearbox in addition with inbuilt SMART Calibration provide higher fuel efficiency without compromising on the vehicle performance. The vehicle speed is limited in each gear, without compromising on power/ torque.
The ARAI certified mileage is 21.4 km/l.
The Mantra can achieve a top speed of 80 km/h and max grade ability of 37%. The vehicle has a max GVW of 1675 kgs and a payload of 1075 kgs.
The van is available in 7 color options and priced at Rs. 4.69 lakhs ex-showroom Kutch, Gujarat.
The Magic Mantra will compete with the likes of Mahindra Supro.
