Tata Motors has introduced the refreshed Aria in the Indian market. The MY 2014 model comes with cosmetic and mechanical upgrades and has also been repositioned which now makes it a more desirable option to segment leader Toyota Innova.
With a new Tag line: MORE WITH EVERY DRIVE, the Aria is now available in 3 variants: Pure LX 4X2, Pleasure 4X2 & Pride 4X4. The Pure LX starts at Rs. 9. 95 lakhs, the Pleasure 4X2 at Rs. 12 lakhs and the top end Pride 4X4 at Rs. 14.74 lakhs.
The refreshed Aria is equipped with a new & refined 2.2L VARICOR engine which also does duty on the Safari Storme. Power has been bumped from 140 PS to 150 PS and max torque of 320 Nm. The fuel efficiency has been improved thanks to the refined Mark II gear box. The Aria now delivers 15.05 kmpl.
On the outside the Aria comes with black bezel headlamps (on the Pride 4×4 only), clear lens tail lamps and side decals. The Pride variant is equipped with 17” Alloys while the other 2 variants are offered with 16” steel rims. There are no other changes and the MPV will continue to offer dual barrel headlamps with projector beam.
On the inside, the MPV comes with a new roof liner with the roof bins deleted and will continue to offer the following interior options: Black & Plum interiors with brush metal inserts or Full leather upholstery in Black & Plum. The lower variants are equipped with Beige Fabric upholstery.
Another major edition is the new sound system by JBL with 8 Channel DSP amplifier and 10 speakers. The infotainment system is also equipped with NAVTEQ – Navigation system and Blue 5 connect Bluetooth® connectivity.
The new changes will help the Aria to offer a better proposition to customers who are looking for a premium MPV and want more options.
