Tata Motors commenced pre-bookings for the Tata TIGOR compact sedan.The new Tata TIGOR StyleBack will launched on the 29th of March and the company is accepting bookings across all authorized dealership with a booking amount of Rs 5000.
Based on the Tiago platform, the new compact sedan has one of the best exterior design as compared to any compact sedan in its segment.
Meant for the young and fast generation, Tata TIGOR comes with its stunning, break-free and revolutionary design, set to build on the Tata Motors’ existing passenger vehicle portfolio. The TIGOR offers completely new styling and design approach making it a unique market proposition.
The new TIGOR will be the third product embodying IMPACT Design philosophy which expresses a youthful mixture of design, style and attitude after Tiago and Hexa.
Tata Motors has paid a lot of attention to distinguish the car from Tiago and comes with a longer wheelbase, projector lens with smoked headlamps, larger wheels with dual tone machined alloy wheels, a new grille, unique boot opening which offers a lot more usable boot space, touch screen infotainment system and rear seat arm rest are some key features.
The TIGOR will be available in both petrol and diesel variants – Revotron 1.2L (petrol engine) and Revotorq 1.05L (diesel engine), which are borrowed from the Tiago.
The Revotron 1.2L 3-cylinder petrol engine delivers an optimum power of 85ps and a maximum torque of 114Nm whereas the Revotorq 1.05L diesel engine delivers power of 70ps and a maximum torque of 140Nm.
Both engines are available with multi-drive modes – Eco and City. Transmission options include a 5 speed Manual and AMT may follow in the future.
Tata Motors will announce the price of the car on 29th of March and is expected to be priced very aggressively like the Tiago.
