A few days back we reported of Toyota planning to launch the Etios Cross and we now have proof of the car being tested in two countries. The Etios Cross was spotted in Brazil & Argentina.
From the pics it’s clear the Etios Cross is indeed the Etios with a rough road package and is styled to look more macho. Changes are purely cosmetic with black body cladding on the doors which continue as large wheel arches and merge with the front & rear bumpers.
To make the car look slightly taller, silver colour roof rails are attached. On the front is a silver guard which is integrated to the front bumper and merges with the front grille. The rear gets a large roof spoiler and silver skid plates on the rear and side. Diamond finished alloy wheels certainly give the car a sport look. Interiors are similar to the current hatch with black interiors and black fabric upholstery.
The Etios Cross is based on the XLS top variant and will be powered by a 1.5-liter Flex fuel motor that produces 96.5bhp. Launch is expected to by end of this year.
