Indian two wheeler maker, TVS Motor Company launched the new 2014 TVS WEGO. Showcased at the 2014 Auto Expo, the Wego now features a new digital console, fresh new graphics in monotone and new dual tone colours, tubeless tyres, parking brakes, new muffler and TVS patended econometer.
Other unique features include twelve-inch alloy wheels, telescopic front suspension and gas filled rear shock absorbers, normally found only in motorcycles. Multi-reflector halogen headlamps and a LED tail lamp with optical guides accentuate the scooter’s styling.
The sharp edged design with full metal body has enabled the Wego to become the recipient of the prestigious India Design Mark (I Mark) by the India Design Council.
Another important upgrade is the improved all aluminium, low friction engine which delivers high performance with superior ride quality. The CVTi, 110cc engine develops 8 BHP @ 7500rpm of max power and 8 Nm @ 5500 rpm of Max Torque. The Wego offers a high mileage of 62 kmpl and is priced at Rs. 46,410 ex-Delhi.
The Wego competes with the likes of the Activa i, Yamaha Alpha and the newly launched Suzuki Let’s scooters.
