The Pulsar 200 SS has been testing for quite some time on the Indian roads and the bike has been spotted numerous times. Bajaj seems to be launching the Pulsar 200 SS in the Indian market very soon.
Images shared by Mr. Rakesh Gowda on facebook hint the launch of the bike to be very soon. The Pulsar 200 SS is based on the Pulsar 200 NS and resemble very similar to the Pulsar SS 400 concept showcased at the 2014 Delhi Auto Expo.
The Pulsar 200 SS will be powered by the same single cylinder engine which also does duty on the Pulsar 200 NS. The 199.5 cc engine with triple spark technology develops 23.52 PS @ 9500 rpm max power and 18.3 Nm @ 8000 rpm. We could expect the 200 SS to get a higher power tune with FI technology.
The bike will get ventilated discs at both the ends and ABS could be offered as an option.
Other big features of the Pulsar 200 SS include
- Projector headlamps
- LED DRLs on the front fairing
- Digital instrument console with analog tachometer
- Clip-on handle bars
- LED side indicators
- Floating LED tail lamps
- Dual tone colour scheme
The Pulsar 200 SS could be priced upwards Rs. 1 lakhs and will compete with the likes of Honda CBR 150R and Yamaha R15 V2.0.
