Swedish automaker Volvo Cars will launch the all-new 2017 Volvo V90 Cross Country on 12th July in India.
Volvo is expanding the Cross Country portfolio in Indian market and V90 Cross Country will be the third product after V40 Cross Country and the S60 Cross Country.
The V90 Cross Country will be powered by a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine that develops 232 PS of max power and 480 Nm of max torque. The engine will be mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox.
The Cross Country variant will be equipped with 4 driving modes – Eco, Comfort, Dynamic and Rough Road.
The V90 is the estate version of the S90 sedan, and Cross Country gets additional cladding with higher ground clearance and all-wheel drive system.
In terms of features the Cross Country will be equipped with Active Bending Lights (ABL), added to standard LED Headlights with Thor’s Hammer DRL & Active High Beam (AHB), glass moonroof, large Center Display, Keyless drive and Entry, Park Assist Pilot & Front Park Assist and many more.
Currently there is no competition to the V90 Cross Country, but there has been rumours of Audi planning to launch the A6 AllRoad this year and Mercedes-Benz may consider the E-class All-Terrain if it does make a business case.
