Yamaha Motor India has launched a limited edition of the Ray Scooter. The new Precious Edition Ray comes with a new avatar, ‘Black n Beauty’ which is mainly cosmetic incorporating new graphics and paint finishes. The special edition is available in Cygnus black colour only with pink patterns all over the scooter.
The new edition also coincides with Ray completing one year since the scooter was launched in 2012 in the Indian market.
The Ray scooter is powered by 113cc single cylinder engine which produces a decent 7bhp of max power and 8.1Nm of max torque. Yamaha claims the scooter returns a potent mileage of about 45kmpl in the city and around 55kmpl on the highway.
The Ray Precious Edition is priced at Rs.48,605 and will be available only till stocks lasts. So hurry to get your Ray Precious Edition.
The Ray has helped the Japanese two wheeler maker to increase its market share and also tap the fast growing scooter segment which is primarily dominated by Honda, TVS, Hero and Suzuki.
Yamaha has been introducing a number of activities in order to attract the female customers and influence sales. Besides increasing dealer network, appointing female salesperson to attend to the prospective customers, Yamaha also introduced female customer care program and launched the Yamaha Female Riding Training Program for females who have a concern to ride a scooter or want to obtain a riding license.
